A Start, A Finish and Statsh

Last night I started Time for God by Lizzie Kate. Here is my progress:

I started this after I finished this:

This is a little canvas piece that was the class at Chicago ANG earlier this month. I think that it will be a Christmas present next year.

I have also been doing some statsh shopping and here are the things I picked up:

I am looking forward to doing them! I also have a birth sampler ordered and another project that was requested by the DS ( no promises on when that will get done).
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas mine was beautiful with some relaxing time also.
Until next time,

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all my stitching friends! I hope you all have a blessed Christmas!! We where blessed with a baby nephew that was adopted by DSIL and her hubby. So I will be stitching another baby sampler. To hold a newborn at Christmas just reminds me of all the blessings that we have been bestowed by the birth of our saviour so many years ago in a little stable.
Until next time,
May you be blessed with stitches,

A Stitchy Update

I have had a busy week. It in included a lot of fun and a Christmas Party that was great. We had our annual EGA Christmas party on Tuesday and it was lovely. At that time our secret stitchers where revealed. My secret stitcher made me this lovely bag! I can't wait to use it for my scroll rods and stitchy stuff. She also gave me this adorable snowman basket and candle also got some Christmas socks and a little notebook for my purse. Thanks Sue!!!

I gave my secret stitcher this basket. There was all kinds of goodies including a biscornu from sweetheart tree. Carol was so excited. I am glad she liked it.

We also had an ornament exchange this is what I gave out. Another Joy needleroll and a beaded ornament. I forgot to take a picture of the one I got it is beautiful and all ready on my tree!

I have also been working on the brown boston and here is an update:

Sorry for the shadow! I was trying to take it yesterday before I rolled up the scroll rods and headed off to my first Chicago ANG meeting yesterday.
The ANG meeting was great and boy am I in trouble I want to take all of the classes!!! They do more canvas work and the projects they have are great. Yesterday's class was a snowman ornament but I am being good and working on the dog. I am still hoping to have him done by Christmas.
Until next time

I was able to do a Pay it Forward for Cathy.
This is what I sent to her:

I stitched the Joy needleroll from last years JCS ornament issue. I also included a fob, a beaded ornament and a couple of kits. I was happy to hear that everything arrived safely.
I hope everyone is having an enjoyable weekend and have gotten a lot of stitching time in.

I have been stitching!!

Sorry for the no post! I have been stitching though. This week I am actually on vacation. Yeah!!! I did venture over to the House of Stitches. I picked up this hopefully for next Christmas:

The main reason I ran over there was to pick this up:

The new Lizzie Kate "Time for God" with recommended floss and fabric. The colors are yummy and I love the saying. This is going as the next to do as soon as I finish this:

Yes I am still working away on the dog. Fingers crossed it will be done by Christmas!
Hope everyone is getting plenty of stitching time in with their holiday preparations.
Until next time,

A Great Stitchy Weekend!!

I spent this weekend in the most lovely way. Both days where spent with some of my stitching sisters and I had an awsome time!!
On Saturday Lelia, Beth and I crossed over to Illinois and visited 3 shops!!
1. Inspired Needle
2. Tommorows Heirlooms
3. Village Needleworks
Here are some of my purchases:

I had a great time visiting, laughing and sharing our favorite past time stitching!
Today Sue from my guild invited a bunch over to stitch. I had a lovely time! Visiting, laughing and stitching!
Some of us have joined the Chicago ANG and I am looking forward to spending time with them and stitching!.
I worked on the terrier today at the stitching. I took this picture of her before I left and while there I did get a few more stitches in.

I have also been working on the final exchange piece I need to have done before December. May be I will get this terrier done before the 25th of December.
Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,

Lots to Share!!!

Well I have so much to share with you all. My pictures didn't get uploaded in the way I wanted so hopefully it is not to out of sorts.

First look what I won from the Online Needlework Show:

They are little mats to stitch up and finish and then you can set a votive candle on them. I did a quick peek at the instructions and they are great!! I am really going to have to check out some more of her designs.
Then I received my PIF from Averyclaire:

Isn't it beautiful!!! I am pretty lucky and I do love the colors!!!

On October 17th my EGA chapter hosted the Indiana State Day. It went so well everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves.
Everyone went home with a beautiful basket. This is the one I came home with:

It was full of garden themed patterns and floss and all kind of goodies!!!!
This was our kit bag:

I am sure I did not get everything in the picture!!! In addition to our project it was chock full of other frebbies!!
This is the project designed by one of our members:

We worked on a smaller piece to go into the tin box. Then after you mastered that you have the materials to make the amulet bag. It was a great day!!!
I am still working away on the terrier. I did finish one page today!!!
Until next time,
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

This one sure has a lot more color changes going on. So sometimes I don't feel like I am making much progress. But I guess I am.
We have been having some fall weather the trees are really pretty to me. Hope you all are having wonderful weather.

What I have been up to

I have been a bad bad blogger lately. It seems like I have spent most of my free time stitching on the brown boston terrier.
Here is the proof:

So I am making progress. I sure hope to get this done by Christmas. I also have two other small things that need to get done by the first part of December. Can't cross my fingers cause then I can't stitch. This past weekend we got to puppy sit for the two little terriors and they where fun!!
I hope you all are enjoying this fall weather! Personally I love the cooler weather.
Until next time,

Another Happy Dance!!!!

I think this is one of the fastest things that I have finished:

Of course on Saturday from about 10 am on all I did was stitch and watch movies for the most part. But it was worth it. Now I feel a little more motavated to go back to stitching brown!!
I think I will finish this into a little wall hanging for the family room. The colors go great with the rest of the decor and maybe it will add a little femine touch to the hunting theme!
Until next time,
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

A Change of Pace

I have been stitching along on the Brown boston Terrier. Doesn't look like much yet but I have been:

Today at work I decided I needed a little change of pace. Something quick and easy. So when I got home I got going on my Olde World Roses canvas piece. I had picked up the rest of the fibers on Saturday and here is how far I got:

This is not a very big piece so I thought it would be quick and easy!!

A Statsh Shopping we will Go!!!1

Yesterday Lelia and I went on a little statsh shopping adventure.
I picked up Rose Quartz the canvas and most of the fiber. I guess another trip is in order because I had to order some more.

I also picked up some fibers that where ordered from my previous trip:

Also when I was at Needle Nest I picked up some other things but no show because they are surprizes.

After Needle Nest we went over to Erica's and I picke up a couple of fall kits:(sorry for the poor quality)

And some more fat quarters. I just can't resist these.:)

After that we had a nice lunch at Hacenenda. What more can you ask for great statsh, good food and awseome company and conversation. Can't wait till my fibers come in and we can do it all again!!

Stitchy Update

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. I have been busily stitching away on my Brown Boston Terrier:

Doesn't look like much yet but it is coming along. I am kind of in the groove with this so I think I am going to continue on for at least another week. Kind of out of my rotation but I really would like to get this done for Christmas.
I am headed over to Needle Nest in Mishawaka, IN this Saturday. I had to order some stuff last time and it is in.
Looking forward to a fun day.
Until next time,

Doing the Happy Dance!!!

Wo Hoo!!! I finished up the Black Boston Terrier tonight:

I am pretty pleased with how it turned out. This is for my DD and DBF who own two boston terriers. The black one is Rocky and they have a brown one named Lucy. I now have a brown one to do. I will have to get going if I want both done in time for Christmas.
I hope all my US stitching sisters are enjoying their long holiday weekend. I know I am an hoping for some more stitching time. Also happy that it is football season. Fun to watch some college ball and stitch!!

And Thy Sinned Update

I was able to get the border done along the other side of this section and a few motifs:

I am sure it doesn't seem like much but small steps can lead to miles. Well tomorrow it is back to the Boston Terrier for two weeks. I do hope that I can get the black one done in this rotation. I had planned on getting my Learn to Tat out this evening but thought I should wait to the weekend then trying after a long day at work.
Until next time

Wow!! Look what I got!

I just had to share what I received today from the lovely Pat Winters. She is such a gracious person! first a needle threader and a needle keeper:

Then this lovely bird's nest necklace that she makes:

I was so happy when I received them. I have been having some health problems and was on my way to the surgeon when I came by the house and there they where. Then I had good news at the doctors no surgery just some changes to lifestyle should take care of it. So I am feeling a lot better about that.
Thanks Pat for the lovely gifts.
Until next time

A little Statsh

Yesterday I ventured over to South Bend and Mishawaka IN. It seems like it was moving in day for all the colleges over there the roads where busy. But I was able to get to where I wanted to go and although I was by myself I had a nice day.
First off I stopped at Erica's a lovely craft and sewing center.
I picked up these fat quarters. Great for finishes and maybe some for Crazy Quilting:

I got these fibers for some crazy quilting:

And a mag and a pattern. The pattern is for a pumkin that has panels of crazy quilting and panels of embrodiery.

Then I headed over to Needle Nest I picked up this pattern one of the threads for it and placed an order for the rest.( I will have to go back like I need an excuse!)

I also got this pattern and the threads: Sorry for the blur.

I picked up these threads for crazy quilting:

So as you can see I came home with some lovely items and reasons to go back. Since I filled my purple card at Erica's I get a discount next time (can't let it go to waste) and then I have those fibers order oh yeah and another pattern.
Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Counting My Blessings!!!!

Well not much of a stitchy post today. I have been stitching this week on exchange pieces so no photos. Tomorrow I am bringing out And Thy Sinned for a week.
I am counting my blessings today because a tornado ripped through our town last evening!! I was home by myself and did not even know really except for some hard rain and the lose of power shortly there after. My DH got home and said something blew through because there where trees down then our DS called he had got a call from one of his fraternity brothers that live an hour away that had heard that something had gone through and our town and wanted to see if we where all right. The tornado did most of the damage in the downtown area about 5 blocks from our DD and her boyfriend. I am so thankful that it appears no one was injured.
If any one is in the area of Needles Nest in Mishawaka, IN this Saturday let me know. I am planning on heading over that way.
Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Boston Update

I have been stitching on the boston again this week:

I am on the last page! I am really hoping that when it comes back in the rotation I can get it finished. I am thinking I might just have to focus on these if I want to get them done for Christmas though!
I do plan on working on some exchange pieces this week so I can get them out of the way.
It looks like we are going to have another hot and humid weekend!YUCK! I guess it is a good thing that I do not have anything really planned maybe just some ac and stitching.
Until next time

And a second!!

And a third.
I was pleased with the comments and besides the ribbions I came away with a little statsh money!! I have saved the list of catagories for entries so I can plan on more entries for next year.

This week I have been stitching on the boston:

I am thinking that tomorrow night I will be on the last page! I am going to put this in my rotation for two weeks in hopes to get it and the brown one done by Christmas.

I think that is all for now.
