Boston Terrier Update

I thought I would share a progress picture on my Boston Terrier piece:

Really did not get a lot of stitching done on it this week. My DS was promoted at work and with it meant a move to Indianapolis, IN about 2 and 1/2 hours away. So on Monday with the help of his Uncle and the DD he moved into his apartment. On Wednesday he came and got the grandpuppy. So I guess it is official that we are empty nesters! My DH reminded me that we where before during the time after our dd moved out and the ds was still in school. But now it really seems official.
Well I am at least finally going to claim one of the vacated rooms as my craft room!!! I am looking forward to that. I will keep you posted on the progress!
In my rotation I started this tonight:

It is Laura J Perin design from the ANG magazine. Of course my fav colors.
Until next time,
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

And They Sinned Update

I thought I would share what I have stitched so far on And They Sinned:

Does not look like to much. But I am so happy to have finally started this piece I have had it a couple of years. I will admit that I did buy a clip on magnifier with my birthday money that my grandmother sent. What a difference!!
I have also decided to go back to a week to week rotation changing on fridays.
I will do a week of And they Sinned, a week on the boston terriers and then a week on something small.
So tomorrow I am back to the bostons I would like to have these finished up by Christmas we will see.
Until next time,
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Crazy Quilted Needlebook

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of taking a class from Pat Winter(http://gatherings100.blogspot.com) I really wish I knew how to add links right to the name. If you have never checked out her work please do. Pat is a very gracious teacher. She kept saying to take more goodies and trims and such. I have to tell you her studio room is just beautiful since I am hoping to have one soon I just kept looking around at how she had it set up. She also has a lovely home. Even though I had a bit of a cold I could hardly believe that we where there from 9-4 time just flew it was so much fun creating!!
Pat taught Lelia and I how to make needlebook and today I finished mine up:

I had a littl mishap with my finishing when I did not layer it in the right order:(! but otherwise I think it turned out pretty good.
I think I have another hobby to add to my life I am hooked!!
Until next time,
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

It's my birthday and I will stitch if I want to!!!!

Yes it my birthday and I took the day off to stitch!! I had planned to sleep in a little bit but was up with the birds! I guess they knew after yesterday's rain it was going to be a beautiful sunny day. I guess getting up early just gave me more time to stitch!
First a pic of something I won from Marjorie over on moonsilk stitches:

This is a pattern from an EGA Indiana state day also some canvas, a little fob and a book of reading for needleworks.

Second this is what my secret stitcher Karin from ILCS group sent me to reveal who she was:

A lovely little kitty pattern and the floss to stitch. I am looking forward to doing this.

This is what I started to stitch today:

Yes I took the plunge and finally started my And They Sinned. I have had this for awhile. I decided today would be a good day to start it. I am hoping that I can finish it before my 50th birthday in five years.

Tommorow I am off to House of Stitches my LNS to take my bee birth sampler to be framed up.

Hope you all are enjoying your day! I know I am!
Until next time,
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol
