There Some Stitching Going On!

I have been doing some stitching this week. It doesn't look like I made much progress on my Correspondence course this week:

It took me almost all week to get in the circles on the left side. Detached buttonhole... All I can say was I almost threw the towel in on this project. But I think I have turned a corner on it. Hoping to have it done by March ANG meeting.
This weekend was the February Chicago ANG meeting and it was a lot of fun and inspiration. Our monthly class was this Tony Mineri piece Emerald:

I am really hoping to get it done tomorrow evening I only have the corners to do. It would be nice to take to my NANI EGA meeting Tuesday. It has been a quick stitch I think that is what I need.
After our monthly meeting we started a workshop. Holiday Patches:

This is so much fun the workshop continued today so I was able to make progress on many parts of it. I look forward to getting back to this one.

Kandi Rose is getting along really well. For some reason she has decided that I need supervision when I am on the computer though and sometimes just plants herself right on the keyboard. Of course she could be looking for a stray pencil.
Unitil next time
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Garden Walk Update

I have continued on my Garden Walk. Some of the areas seem to be slow going. But I am continuing on:

I have been drooling over some of the items that are being posted from Market. Oh so many options so little time. Seems to be a constant complaint of mine.
Kandi has settled in quite nicely. The next hurdle is the spaying process scheduled for a week from this Friday. Hopefully I can get her there safely I all ready know that I will be missing her bunches.
I hope that you have all had a productive week and that this one coming will be just as productive if not more.
Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Lazy Sunday Stitching

I hope that everyone has had a good week. We had a little more snow but this coming week they are calling for a warm up. So now all that snow will be a wet mess. Hopefully there will not be to much icing to contend with. I was able to get Kandi Rose to the vet. The DH had gotten her into the carrier(she cried most of the time). She was an angel at the vet I couldn't believe how calm she was and allowed them to check her over. Yes I was a proud mama. She continues to make herself at home.
As you can see her favorite nap place is on my lap under the frame of my piece:

She is usually pretty good about not grabbing at the fibers.
I have continued on my ANG project:

It is challenging and I have had thoughts of giving up but I keep my needle going!

I leave you with this picture:

Now if that isn't the picture of a lazy Sunday afternoon I don't know what is!
Happy Valentines Day to all my stitching sisters and brothers!
Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Snowing and Stitching

I think my week has been alot like many others across the US. SNOWY!! We actually had a snow day from work. On Tuesday about 2 (just as predicted) it hit I left about an hour early from work knowing that we were going to be closed the next day. It was nice to not have to worry about having to make it in the next day. We continued to get snow till Wednesday afternoon. I have heard varying amounts for our little town from 9 to 18 inches. All I know is that there was alot and we still had some on the ground. Thursday it took me 3 hours to get into work and extra hour to get home. That will teach me to listen to my inner voice when it is saying work from home.
I was able to work on my correspondence course for ANG:

(Sorry for the losey picture)
All of he boarders are complete. Now it time to do the interior. So the first box is complete, I have skipped the second box for now(it is all beading) box 3 just needs some beads, box 4 needs a three more jessicas and some bullion knots. I have removed the horizontal threads in box 5 for some needleweaving. I am suprised at how it is moving along. Yesterday I was able to spend the day stitching with our local EGA group. It was National Stitch in Public day and we had a room set up at the library. It was a lot of fun and we were able to share our love for needlework with some of the library patrons.
Kandi Rose is continuing to make her self at home. She is growing. Her and the DH have come up with a game of fetch with her favorite toy mouse it is fun to watch. Keep good thoughts for us Wednesday evening we are supposed to go to the vet for a little check up. Supposed to go yesterday but Kandi decided that getting in the carrier was not going to happen.
Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol
