Some Stitching Going On

I have been stitching away on the birth sampler:

I really feel the end is in sight on this one. I am really hoping that the next picture would be one with a Happy Dance!!
Today I went to a quilt show in MI with Beth and Lelia. So much fun and so inspiring!!!! What a blast we had.
I hope everyone is having a great week and spending time with their needles.
Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Storms and Stitching

We are once again getting more storms. We had one this morning and another started this evening. High winds and lots of rain. Fortunately this evening the power only flickered. But the directv has yet to come back. Oh well!
Since my time was not divided between watching the screen and stitching I was able to finish up this corner of the baby sampler:

I only have about 1/4 of the whole sampler to do! The end is sight!
Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Some Stash and Stitching!!

Yesterday I ran over to House of Stitches in LaPorte, IN (hi! all) to pick up some framing. Great Job Ladies as usual! Will I was there I picked up Stitchers Row that I had on order, the linen and fibers:

I had a gift certificate and some birthday cash (thanks Beth and Lelia) so I had to spend it :)!
I have also been doing some stitching on the Birth Sampler:

I had hoped to get a little more done. But my stitching over the weekend was pretty limited. A storm blew through on my way home from work Friday and we lost power about 4:30 it was out until about noon on Saturday so the weekend was kind of scrambled. But we are lucky I spoke with some at church this morning and their power had still not been restored.
Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Doing the Happy Dance!!!!!

This past Saturday was my birthday and I don't think I got as much stitching done this past week as I normally do! On Wednesday I went out with some of my stitching girlfriends for my birthday and had so much fun!! Got some new scissors, some floss and some statsh money. Saturday I spent the day shopping not needlework releated just some mall shopping=new clothes:)! Then went out to dinner with the DH. Sunday I was on airport duty in the late afternoon so I spent the rest of the day doing the typical household chores:(!

But I did have a finish:

Pathways is done!! I am please with it how it turned out.
Tonight I got back to the baby samplerreally not much to show yet. I do believe that I am going to focus on this till I get it done!
Hope everyone is well.
Until next time,
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Some Stitching Going On

I have gotten back to stitching on Pathways. The inner portion has been stitched, the ribbon laid and now I am putting some braid on. I have not decided if couching ribbion and braid down is one of my favorite things :)! But I am getting a lot of practice with it on this:

This past weekend I finished My Pins by Shepards Bush. Since I was doing some finishing on it I pulled something out of the stack from older finished and finished two things:

The cat was stitched back in 2004!

Friday evening I finished up my Composition piece the class I took from Sue Reed:

I really enjoyed this piece. I am really thinking of doing it again maybe with some Christmasy colors. I would definately recommend taking a class from Sue she is a delightful teacher!
I am really hoping to finish up Pathways this week not sure what I will work on after that.
I hope you all are having as fine as weather as we are. I wish it would stay like this all summer but it looks like the 90's are headed back blah!! I am definitely not a hot weather person!
Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol
