A Prize, some Statsh and Some Stitching

This past week on Facebook I won a prize from th Heart of Cross Stitch. A great Tshirt and a canvas tote:

I also did some statsh shopping:

Rose Quaker Sampler, fabric and fibers. I am planning on doing this over one. I think I will be taking this on vacation to start. It is very pretty and love the colors.

I also made some progress on the birth sampler:
It is coming along slowly and surely.
We have had some great weather except for yesterday. The first day of Spring full of wet cold sleet. But today it was bright and sunny.
Until next time,

A Stitchy Update

This week I did a little statshing. This is a kit to make a silk thimble:

I saw this on onJane's Blog. They are really quite cute and where use for the sewing of kiminos. I purchased it at Chloe Patricia's Etsy Shop. I am looking forward to stitching this up!

For an update on my birth sampler:

It is coming right along. This is about a quarter of it. Today I spent the day stitching with Beth, Lelia, Tina and Sue. It was a fun afternoon of stitching, sharing and laughter. Thanks for being a great hostess Beth!
Our weather although rainy has been warmer which has been nice. Hope you are enjoying your days also.
Until next time

Some Statsh and Stitching

Well I got started on the birth sampler. Not much to see yet but it is a start"

Saturday I had my ANG meeting and this was our class project:

It will be a frame weight when finished. It is stitching up pretty quickly.
Saturday after ANG I ran over to House of Stitches to drop off something to get framed. Of course I could not walk out of there with out making some purchases :)!

I made the plunge and got my first Hawk Run Hallow. I just love this piece. I think I will be doing it with the silk. Just wanted to look it over first.

I also found this piece. It is called Stitchers Web. It is done on linen but it reminds me of some of my canvas pieces.

I also got Rose Hill Plantation. I think this is a great pice and look forward to stitching it.

In addition to my stitching this week. We got a new car. I am now the proud owner of 2010 Chevy Traverse. It sure seems big!

Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

A new Start and some finishes!

Today I was able to get started on the birth sampler for our newest nephew. This is what I picked out for him. I thought it was cute love the little babies!

I did not get to far because we spent the afternoon at his sister's first birthday. My SIL and her hubby have three beautiful adopted children. A three year old, one that just turned one and one that is two months old. Needless to say they have their handsful.
This week I stitched up two of our projects for our NANI EGA guild that I will be teaching.
The first is a Victoria Sampler Christmas Rose:

The second is a bookmark done by needlelace.

I hope the other guild members will enjoy the classes.
Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,
