Tulips and Fans update

I thought I would share an update of my Tulips and Fans piece. It is coming along pretty well.

Of course the fact that it is in my favorite colors (pink and green) helps. I just have to finish up the blocks and then borders.
Maybe another week or so of stitching and then a finish. We will see.
I am glad that tomorrow is friday looking forward to a quiet weekend with stitching time. How about you?
Until next time,
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Weekend Winddown

Well the 13 inches that I showed you on Wednesday officially was about 25! Needless to say it took the ds over 2 hours to get the drive plowed that evening. But guess what Friday it warmed up and Saturday it was in the 50's so the majority has melted away. Not sure if that will be the end of it but the way this winter has gone I am not counting on it. I have been stitching away on my tulips and fans canvas piece a little to late to get a decent picture though. Sorry, will get one this week. It is stitching up fairly quick. I hope you all have had a pleasant and stitchy weekend!
Until next time,
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

SNOW DAY!!!!!

I have a finish!! I finished up this freebie from Big Toe Designs:

And what an appropriate thing to finish up because I woke up to this:

Yes close to 13 inches of snow since yesterday afternoon! I left work early because in my son's word we where getting pounded and it continued and we are still getting some more snow. I decided to spend the day at home because even my two favorite guys in the there pick ups did not think it was to great out there. Once you got away from our house 20 minutes are so you where fine. But me I am nice and cozy at home.

I wanted to share an update of my HAED picture. Less then one page to go!!

Since I finished up snow I should be stitching on my bostons or my HAED but I am going to be bad and do a new start:

Even a girl who likes winter needs to dream of spring sometime!!!
Well I think the grandpuppy (husky) has probably thought I abondend him in the snow. Isn't he supposed to like it? So I better go get him. Then put my canvas on the frame, make some popcorn for lunch, start stitching and catch up on my recorded quilting shows!
Until next time;
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Fun day with Friends!

Today was spent with some blogging friends and a good day was had by all! Lelia(Stitches of Life), Coni (Spinster Stitcher) and Chrissy, and Paisley(Stitchin'Post) met up at House of Stitches in LaPorte, IN. After shopping away for some new stash, really I was good just some fabrics and floss for the NANI stitch along and one small pattern. Well I did have to get the patterns and linen for the NANI stitch along. We all headed out to lunch together. Good food, laughs, and stories where enjoyed by all. I hope that the rest of you had as much fun as I did. We will have to do that again or maybe just meet some place and stitch for the day!! I have made some progress on the wolf after getting home I did decide to put it away and start stitching on something a little smaller (would like to have a finish) I started the freebie Snow from My Big Toe Designs I am doing it on a blue grey fabric using a white needle necessitie thread. Tuesday at the NANI meeting we will be starting a Drawn Thread stitch along "My Favorite Things" so I think I will be working on that for the next week.
Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Stitching Update

I finally have page one done for my BT pic that I am doing for my DD and her DBF. There are so many color changes. There are 3 more pages for this one. It does look like there will be a little more solid color stitching on those pages. Then it will be on to the brown one.

This is a picture of the wonderful fob and counting pins that I won on Tina blog Stitching in Texas. They are great and I can not wait to use them. Tina even included some M&Ms (yummy!) Thanks Tina!!

I wanted sto share my inner child doll that I made yesterday at LaBeada Loca in Valparaiso, IN. The class was taught by Pat Winters. Pat is great crazy quilter and her teaching was great. She kept reminding us to PLAY!! What a wonderful thing! Pat has been running a comfort doll project where people send in dolls and the dolls are distributed to womens shelters across the country. What a wonderful ministry! I will be making some for sure!

I think that I am off to do some stitching on our IN State day project for my chapter of EGA. Maybe I will get the HAED project out also today.
Until next time,
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol
