To Many Choices......

The past week I have been stitching along on my Pathways piece. I am happy with the progress I have made but still have a ways to go:

But this weekend I took a great class from Sue Reed called Composition:

I am just loving this piece!!! Sue is wonderful teacher she puts alot of thought into color placement and doing the stitches so that the color flows. If you ever have a chance to take a class from her I would recommend it highly!!!
So now I am working away on both of these truth be told I will probably concentrate on the piece from the class then finish up on Pathways.
Of course I also have a beautiful Iris piece that was the monthly project for ANG on Saturday AM before Sue's class started.
Oh yes I also need to get that baby sampler back in to motion also.
What a stitcher to do??????
Until next time,
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Some Stitching Going On!

After finishing Peach Melba last week I got back to working on Pathways. Here is where I have gotten so far:

It seems to be going alot better now. I was having some trouble at first but seemm to have gotten into the grove with it. Of course I still have a way to go yet.
I had a request for a close up on the Jessica stitches in my Peach Melba:

The jessica stitches are the round pink ones with the beads in the center. These where fun to stitch once you got going on them.
Yesterday I spent the day with Lelia and Beth. We headed to Erica's and Needle Nest over in the South Bend/Mishawaka area of South Bend. My purchases where some threads and canvasas for upcoming ANG classed and a project for next year EGA. After that we had a lovely lunch at Papa Vino's it was so yummy. I was able to enjoy the rest of my canoli desert today with a cup of tea! It was so much fun Thanks girls!!
Next week is my usual ANG meeting with a new class and then a class Saturday afternoon and Sunday I am looking forward to it.
Well the DS is safe and sound in WV just waiting for his belongings to arrive. It seems hard to believe that he is so far away but we are all so proud.
Until next time,
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Happy Dance

WooHoo! I have a happy dance! My interpertation of Peach Melba by Needle Delights:

This was a fun piece to do. I was not sure about the Jessica Stitch at first. But I did enjoy doing it. I finished this up just a little while ago I think that I will be back stitching on Pathways tomorrow.
How was everyone's Mother Day I hope it was a pleasant one. Mine was a little bittersweet. Our DS got another promotion which is fantastic!! The down side is that now he will be moving again. This time from Indianapolis, IN about 2-3 hours away to Charleston ,WV about 8. He was home this weekend saying his goodbyes the movers will pack him up on Friday and he will be on his way. We are going to keep the grandpuppy for awhile till he gets settled and figures out when he has to go for some advance training. But we are so proud.
Happy Mothers Day to all my stitching friends. Hope you all got to spend time with your moms and the kids that made you moms. Also hope you got to spend some time thinking about your mom and the great memories if she is looking down on you from heaven (miss ya mom).
Until next time,
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

A Stitchy Update

I have been stitching along on Peach Melba:

I have been enjoying this piece. I am hoping to get it finished up sometime this week. I guess time will tell.
It has been a busy weekend for me. House cleaning, laundry, grocery, flower bed cleaning and getting ready to teach my EGA guild class. At least the weather was cooperative to get things done. It hardly seems like it should be monday in the morning all ready.
Hoep everyone else had a nice and productive weekend.
Until next time,
May you be blessed with stitches,

Karol

Baad Blogger

Boy I have been a bad blogger since I returned from vacation. So Sorry!!!!. We had a wonderful vacation my Grandmother celebrated her 91st birthday during our stay. The weather was nice but got pretty warm on the last day. Since we returned just been busy busy.
Last Sunday I went to the International Quilt show. All I can say is WOW!!! I did pick up lots of goodies but for some reason my pic has disapperead. Well hopefully you will see them when I finish them up.

During the vacation I started My Favorite Things by Drawn Thread. I finished it up earlier this week:

After I finished that I got back to working on Pathways. This is where I am with that:

Yesterday was my Chicago ANG meeting. Our project was Peach Melba by Needle Delights. Now Beth don't get to mad but here is where I am with it:

I changed the colors up a bit to pink and greens. Of course.
