Trip to House of Stitches

Today I had to run over to my LNS House of Stitches to pick up the patterns for our next EGA meeting class. Thank you for ordering it for us. Of course I did not go without making some purchases of my own. First this lovely sissor braclet (it was on sale) with pinky colored beads and charms with a stitching theme. It is on a pair of scissors all ready:

Then the "Our Love" pattern by Annie Beez Folk art the fabric and some of the silks the rest are on order:

Then the Four Seasons Zipper project. Something quick and fun:

After that I had to run to Hobby Lobby real quick and I found this:

I have been wanting to Learn to Tat and I found this book with a DVD. So picked up some supplies and I am hoping to finally learn this craft.
I love lacey things!
I have been stitching away on the birth sampler made some good progress today. Hoping to do the same during the rest of the weekend.
To all who have served and all those who have sent there sons & daughters to serve blessings on this Memorial Day!
Until next time,
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Statsh and update

I thought I would share the latest on the ongoing birth sampler:

The top has been completed and the name added. I had hoped to finish the back stitching on the name but I think that will be tomorrow evening and then roll up to the next section. Progress is being made!:)
Yesterday I decided to venture over to South Bend, IN and go to another favorite LNS and check out the quilting store! What Fun!
I stoped at Erica's a sewing and craft store. The fabrics are so yummy!! I will definately be back!
This is what jumped in my car:

Two lovely Australian embroidery magazines. I am a sucker for mags! Some pink and green fat quarters and a little kit to make a quilted wall hangin.

I also stopped at Needles Nest. I picked up the canvas and thread to do a Laura J Perin desin that was in one of my mags:

Then I picked up another of her designs and the canvas and threads to stitch it up:

Now if I could finish up the sampler I could start one of these!!
Until next time,
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

I thought I would just share a little peak of the birth sampler I am doing for the new little angel in the family our niece:

The stitching does not seem to be going that fast. Not sure why. Hopefully it will pick up!:)!

All Framed Up!

Today I took a trip over to my LNS House of Stitches and picked up my Wolf HAED:

I am so pleased with how it turned out! Thanks to Linda and the rest of the ladies in the shop I always enjoy my visit. I did pick up some other things while I was there:

Some magazines well the Where Women Create came from the stop at Joann's but I got Piecework and Sampler and Antique Quarterly.

I also got the threads for the Blackbird 2009 Stitching Items. I received the pattern and linen from Silver Needle the other day in the mail. This will be next up once I finish the birth sampler. I hope to show you a picture of that in the next few days when I have to move the frame.
I also picked up some gifts for my secret stitching friends but no peeks on that.
Until next time,
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol

Just a quick wave Hi!

Well sorry for taking so long to post. Had a wonderful vacation and enjoyed spending time with my grandma who turned 90! While we where there. Did not get to much stitching done. I have been stitching on a birth sampler for our new niece that I made the bib for. She wore it today for her baptism. Not much to show on the sampler though hopefully soon.
Until next time
May you be blessed with stitches,
Karol
